CREATIVE SPARKS Opens 9 August Closes 11 October
$20,000 is available for a creative idea to enrich the communities of Brisbane, develop your skills and experience as an artist or cultural worker or perhaps you have a great opportunity for an arts business partnership or an idea to activate our CBD laneways.

COMMUNITY GRANTS Opens 26 July closes 13 September
Are you a community organisation with an innovative community based arts or cultural project or festival in mind. Council is looking for applications that foster an understanding of Brisbane's history and cultural heritage or promote creativity, culture or the arts.

COMMUNITY FACILITY GRANTS PROGRAM
Provides funding to local non-profit organisations who are seeking to develop and improve their facilities. Funding amounts can range from $2,000 to $50,000.

Two funding rounds are held each financial year:
round one opens 26 July 2010 and closes 13 September 2010
round two opens 17 January 2011 and closes 7 March 2011

YOUNG & EMERGING ARTISTS FELLOWSHIP
Opening Date 9 August Closing Date 11 October
You could be eligible for a Fellowship if you are a young Brisbane artis or artsworker seeking support for career development.
Over 70 artists have been awarded fellowships to support their practice through study, travel, internships with professional arts companies and specialist tuition since 1995.
The Lord Mayor's Young and Emerging Artists Fellowhip awards up to $20,000 to support the development of creative innovations to benefit young people and contribute to our shared vision for Brisbane's future.

COMMUNITY SUPPORT FUNDING PROGRAM Applications close midnight
Monday, 6 September 2010
Financial assistance to:
community groups facing financial hardships
providers of affordable housing in Brisbane
Successful community groups and service providers are credited a percentage of their annual general rates.

ENVIRONMENTAL GRANTS
Funding to community based groups or organisations who address local or citywide community environment issues. The majority of grants range between $600 and $6,000. Applications seeking funding of more than $10,000 cannot be supported.
Two funding rounds are held each financial year:

round one opens 26 July 2010 and closes 30 August 2010
round two will open in January 2011 and close in February 2011

LORD MAYOR'S SUBURBAN INITIATIVE FUND
All Councillors are given funds to support local projects such as community activities, minor building works and help build stronger communities in Brisbane by improving park and community facilities.
Each Ward Councillor looks after their own local funds.

SENIOR CITIZEN'S FUNDING PROGRAM
Helpsing senior citizens' groups to cover the cost of activities such as social outings and Christmas parties.
Funding is available to:

non-funded clubs and groups providing activities for people aged 50 years and over, or
seniors' groups that are part of other organisations
2010 program
The 2010 program will open on 23 August and will close on 4 October.

NATIVE WILDLIFE CARER FUNDING PROGRAM
An initiative that provides financial assistance to groups and individuals involved with the rehabilitation and release of orphaned, sick and injured native wildlife within the Brisbane City Council area. You can apply for a grant amount ranging from a minimum of $500 to a maximum of $5,000.

Two funding rounds are held each financial year:

round one opens 26 July 2010 and closes 30 August 2010
round two will open in January 2011 and close in February 2011

MEN'S SHED GRANT
Supports the new Men's Shed groups in Brisbane. This program provides a safe, supportive and friendly environment for men of all ages to gather, volunteer, work and seek fellowship with other like-minded people. The grant provides funding for:

establishment and coordination expenses
facility improvements
equipment and material purchases
How to apply
Applications for the grant will open 17 January 2011 and will close 7 March 2011.

The guidelines and application forms will be available to download when the next round opens in January 2011.
