Students become Green Thumbs

I was pleased to negotiate a donation of top soil from Brisbane City Council for the community garden within the grounds of Seville Rd State School. The plots are home to a range of vegetables tended to by Year 8 Cavendish Rd High School students as they interact with the primary school students.

The budding gardeners learn valuable lessons about team work and are excited as the shoots begin to sprout.

It is hoped that these gardens will produce enough food for the students to be able to take some home to share with their families.
