Resident Request Brings Action

06 January, 2011

After receiving a request from a local resident asking for an upgrade to the play facilities in Leicester St Coorparoo, I was happy to commit my support.

A wonderful new playground was recently completed just in time for Christmas and School holiday fun. Children can now enjoy a new fort, swings, a modern version of rocking horses, seating and soft-fall play sufaces. There's also a fun 'egg cup' that children can sit in and be spun around. It's all proving to be a great asset to the local community and frequently attended.

The previous open space was upgraded with seating and also provides an area suitable for kicking a ball around or a game of cricket with the kids.

I appreciate this particular resident taking time to contact me to discuss this upgrade and am always happy to hear your suggestions on contributing to the liveability of Holland Park Ward.
