Wynola Guides Ongoing Committment

21 March, 2011

Wynola Girl Guides of Meridian St, Coorparoo held their AGM on Sunday 20th which I had the pleasure of attending. The outgoing Aupport Group President Eva Key and the Treasurer/Secretary Willa King were congratulated on the significant contributions they had made to the Guides over the years.

An example of the success of the outgoing committee was their work in securing an $11,000 grant through the Lord Mayors Suburban Initiative Fund (LMSIF) to refurbish the very old toilets. This was administered through my office, as was the tents grant which the LMSIF supplied to the group last financial year.

Guide Leader Elaine Callick, Junior Guide Leader Robyn Kinne and the Koala Guide Leader all presented impressive reports of the previous years activities.

I wish new President and Secretary all the best as they endeavour to lead the Wynola Guides in the coming months. I assured Anna and Teresa that I would provide them with assistance wherever possible.

I wish the Guides good luck for the future.
