07 February, 2012

Commencing Monday 20th February the following bus services operated by Brisbane Transport will be changing:

1) Route 135 Monday to Friday - Two additional Inbound trips each morning (7.30 & 8.00).
Sunday - One additional and earlier inbound trip at 8.00am.

Existing service trip times on this route have changed to provide a more even spacing between trips. IE: Services currently operate at 6.52, 7.15, 7.46 & 8.51, from the 20th February services will operate at 6.52, 7.15, 7.30, 7.45, 8.00 & 8.51am.

2) Route 136 One additional inbound trip @ 7.13am.

In addition to providing extra passenger capacity to the CBD this trip also provides an additional service for students from the Algester and Sunnybank areas to schools in the Garden City Precinct.

3) Route 155 One additional inbound earlier trip @ 7.25am.

The existing service trip time at 7.35am has also been moved back to 7.40 am to provide a 15 minute gap from the first service and a better balance between trips.

4) Running time adjustments have been made to routes 129, 130, 131, 132, 133, 134, 135, 136, 155, P179, 181, 184, 185, 186 & 192.

5) Route 192 With the limited space now available at U.Q. Lakes due to the redevelopment of this bus station, the time table of the 192 has been changed to limit their recovery time at this site.

6) Queen Street Bus Station platform changes. To increase passenger capacity along the Mains Road corridor, the 140 route will progressively be allocated higher capacity vehicles.

However, before this can occur, a platform change in the QSBS is necessary. On the 20 February route 140 will be moved to A5 and routes 110, 115, 134, 135 & 155 will be moved to A7.
