Men's Shed Expansion

The Woodturners Society of Qld has been active in obtaining funding through the Brisbane City Council Commuity Facilities Grants Program and the Lord Mayor's Suburban Initiative Fund with the State and Federal Governments also making contributions.

Cr McKenzie officially opened the extension of the work rooms and library at the Pine St, Greenslopes facility which is the only men's shed in the Holland Park Ward and has been operating in one form or another for 30yrs.

The public facility is a credit to the detailed hard work of the Society's President, committee and general members. Cr McKenzie congratulated President Rob McKee and the Woodturners dedicated members.
