Archbishop Duhig Nursing Home Visit

06 August, 2009

Today, Cr Ian McKenzie joined the residents of the Archbishop Duhig Nursing Home in Holland Park for a morning tea to catch up on local issues where a number of subjects were raised including greening Brisbane, air-conditioned buses and the restoration of City Hall. The residents are very supportive of the City Hall project as it is a place that holds strong memories for so many. The residents and staff are currently planning fundraisers to contribute to the costs of the restoration. Cr McKenzie's visit follows his attendance at the very successful annual fete held on the grounds on Sunday, 2 August 2009.
