Eat Safe Brisbane

04 March, 2010

Eat Safe Brisbane is a scheme where all licensed food businesses will be issued with a food safety rating (star rating). This rating will be based on an assessment of the business's food safety management practices. This scheme has been developed by Council in partnership with food safety associations.

The frequency of audits will vary as poor performers are monitored more closely to ensure compliance with the minimum food safety standards and high performers are not faced with an unnecessary over-regulation.

Eat Safe Brisbane will see higher performing businesses rewarded as they will be able to take advantage of free publicity and marketing on a nominated website, and will be able to display the star rating at their business premises. For more information click here
